Ourania_Kay

Η Ourania Kay γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στην Αθήνα. Αφού αποφοίτησε από το London Metropolitan University με πτυχίο στα Οικονομικά, αποφάσισε να συνδυάσει τις σπουδές της με το πάθος της και την δημιουργικότητά της και έτσι αποφάσισε να σπουδάσει στο Παρίσι στην σχολή μόδας ESMOD. Από την ESMOD αποφοίτησε με πτυχίο στο Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting και συνεργάστηκε με πολλά μεγάλα ονόματα της μόδας όπως Hussein Chalayan, Grazia Paris, Salon de Prêt-a-porter, Premiere Vision.

Τα σχέδιά της έχουν πάντα μία δυνατή ταυτότητα και ένα καινοτόμο πνεύμα ενώ παράλληλα αναδεικνύουν την θηλυκότητα συνδυασμένη με δομικές γραμμές και εναλλακτικά υφάσματα. Η Ourania Kay εμπνέεται συνήθως από πράγματα και καταστάσεις της καθημερινότητας που πολλές φορές οι άνθρωποι και οι σύγχρονες κοινωνίες δεν παρατηρούν ή θεωρούν ταμπού, όπως για παράδειγμα η κολεξιόν της “Chapter 1// UrGeNt_CaSeS”, η οποία ήταν εμπνευσμένη από τον ζουρλομανδύα και παρουσιάστηκε στα πλαίσια της 8ης AXDW κερδίζοντας το βραβείο “BestCatwalk”.
Με την δεύτερή της κολεξιόν «Chapter 2//iLLuSionS» έπεισε ακόμη και τους πιο δύσπιστους.

Ourania_Kay was born and raised in Athens. After graduating from London Metropolitan University with a bachelor with honors in Business Finance, she decided to combine her studies with her passion and her creativity and she left Athens to study in ESMOD Paris. After graduating, having her diploma in Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting, she worked with many great names in Fashion industry such as Hussein Chalayan, Grazia Paris, Salon de Prêt-a-porter, and Premiere Vision.

Her designs always have a strong identity and innovative spirit while they elect femininity combined with structural lines and alternative fabrics. She is always inspired from things that we meet in everyday life and we never pay attention to such as social subjects, which most of the times are being considered taboos for the modern societies like her collection “Chapter 1: Urgent Cases” which was based and inspired from the straightjacket, introduced in the 8th AXDW and won the award for “Best Catwalk”.
With her second collection «Chapter 2//iLLuSionS», she convinced even the more distrustful.
